Rules and Regulations
Note: The calendar listed in the Dutch Reporter lists the closing date for the NDS as March 31st which is incorrect. All entries must be in hand on April 4th.
- This is an official ARBA & ADRC sanctioned show and will be governed by
the current rules of said Associations. Every precaution will be taken to
ensure the safety of the exhibitors and animals, however, all entries are
made at the owner’s risk. Show personnel, judging staff, carriers, show
officials, show staff, the Illinois Dutch Rabbit Club, the Interstate Center
staff and the Interstate Center itself are in no way responsible for the
death, threat, injury or other of any animal, exhibitor, or interested party.
- This show will use a no ear number entry system, however, please feel free
to include them. All entries MUST indicate the variety, class, and sex of
each animal entered, but ear numbers are not required until check in.
- Entry Fees: Regular Entry - Open and Youth - $6.00 per animal
Fur Entry -- Open and Youth -- $3.00 per animal
All animals must have a permanently and legible tattoo to be accepted.
Make all checks payable to: Illinois Dutch Rabbit Club (All returned checks
are subject to a $25.00 return fee).
Entries MUST be marked as to whether they are OPEN or YOUTH. Entries
not marked will be placed in the open division. ALL Open & Youth entries

All Entries and Banquet Reservations must be in hand by April 4th
*Unless shipped in, all exhibitors are responsible for carrying their own
animals to and from the show tables.
- Check in will begin at 12:00 Noon on Friday, April 11th. No animals will be
accepted prior to noon on Friday, April 11th.
- Showroom close times - 10:00 PM Friday evening and 5:00 PM Saturday
evening. (The showroom will reopen at 6:00 AM Saturday Morning, April
12th, and at 6:00 AM on Sunday Morning, April 13th.
- Sale animals will be allowed, however, not knowing the exact number of
animals that will be entered, it is impossible for the IDRC to guarantee
that there will be ample sale coops for everyone. If cooping is available for
sale animals, they will be at a first come first serve basis and the cost will
be $4.00 per animal. (Sale animals, if cooped, will have those fees paid for
upon your arrival.) There will also be an area in the showroom for those
who wish to bring them in a carrier for the weekend. The carrier must
have sufficient space for the animal along with feed and water containers,
have a solid bottom and remain clean. There is no charge for those sale
animals that remain in carriers. Please indicate on your entry form how
many sales coops you would like IF they become available.
DO NOT SEND ANY SALE ANIIMAL FEES WITH YOUR ENTRY
- Feed will be provided for the weekend by the IDRC.
- Due to fire codes, NO straw will be allowed in the building. Shavings will be
provided by the Illinois Dutch Rabbit Club.
- Koenig’s Kountry Supplies is the official vendor for this show. They carry a complete line of supplies and equipment, and for advance orders or show
pickup, you should contact them directly.
- Adults, Parents and/or Guardians are responsible for the actions of
their children and themselves.
- Advance arrangements must have been made to ship rabbits. All rabbits
must be shipped prepaid both ways and arrive by
3:00 PM on Friday, April 11th. The name and address must be clearly and
legibly marked on all shipping carriers and crates. For pickup and return of
prepaid rabbit exhibits, you must have your shipping arrangements through
The Bloomington Airport (BMI) in Bloomington, IL or the Peoria Airport (PIA)
in Peoria, IL. To confirm your shipping plans, notify Richard Gehr at
rwgehr@cbcast.com as soon as possible.
- Due to Interstate Center contract obligations, NO food or drink may be
brought into the building that was not purchased from the Interstate
Center concession.
- In order to receive any awards or specials offered by the American Dutch
Rabbit Club, you must be a member of the ADRC.
- There is no smoking allowed in the building at any time!
- Any animal showing signs of sickness or disease will be removed from the
building/showroom.
- Animals will be released on Sunday, April 13th beginning at 7:00AM. Any
animals left in the building after 4:00 PM become the property of the IDRC.
