After reviewing the costs of several different banquet facilities, and finding the cost to be pretty high (pushing at least $21 per plate for a breakfast for the least expensive), it was decided not to have a formal banquet but will have the awards with the meeting. The meeting time will be posted at a later date, as well as at the Showroom at our booth.Note: as of February, both official hotels are close to capacity.

The Millenium has a restaurant that starts serving breakfast at 6:30 a.m. There are a total of 180 rooms blocked off for the Convention. At this time, we share the hotel with the Netherland Dwarf Club. Hotel ammenities include a pool, sauna, fitness center and Martini lounge. It is attached to the Convention center by a walkway which will be nice if there is bad weather. The Hyatt is also adjacent to the convention center and has many of the same ammenities. It is the headquarters for several specialty clubs. Both hotels are almost filled so call as soon as you can for your room. Hotels are very expensive in the MPLS area. There are several outside the city that members can look for better pricing by going to Hotels.com, or any of the other search engines to look at lodging.
ARBA website has you go through the MPLS Convention Bureau to book rooms from the two official hotels. If you call them, the number is 612-767-8200, tell them you are with the ARBA Convention.
