Tom Shufflebotham

Tom was born in England in 1899 and came to this country in the early 1920's Over a few years, he made several imports of Black, Blue, and Tortoise Dutch from well-known Dutch fanciers in England in the 1940's. His winning and showing went on from the early 1930's through the late 1970's and beyond. Tom was a prolific writer and historian for the American Dutch Rabbit Club.

The 2006 National Dutch Show turned out to be a very memorable show for me. Not only was I able to win the Open show, but I was inducted into the ADRC Hall of Fame! Now, winning Best Dutch was very rewarding, but it does not compare to being in the Hall of Fame!

Fred Mullinax

Fred was a devoted Dutch breeder. He loved his bunnies and he loved to go to every rabbit show he could. He loved the competition, the people, the judging and making new rabbit friends.

To my surprise I received the best display chocolate trophy. Thinking this is great and thankful that I won a trophy at the 75th anniversary of the NDS - then the biggest surprise in my life, my name was entered in the ADRC Hall of Fame and with a standing ovation.

Virtually every Dutch breeder in Michigan, and many breeders across the United States, has had a Micallef bred rabbit in one of their Dutch pedigrees. Tony was always helping the youth get started in Dutch, usually donated his rabbit to them.
